Maple Grove Families,
We’ve had several issues recently with toys—especially the small toys and keychain-style items that attach to backpacks—going missing during the school day. To help prevent lost items and keep students focused on learning, we are asking that all toys stay at home.

On Friday, December 19, students will rotate through winter party stations in the gym, and I’m looking for a few volunteers to help run them. The activities are simple, and students will already know what to do.

As we head into the Thanksgiving break, we want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support, kindness, and partnership throughout the school year. We are so grateful for our students, staff, and the amazing families who make our school community so special.

Parents/guardians who placed an order should send the Picture Package, including the envelope, to school on Retake Day. Please ensure the package is given to the photographer so they have the information they need to replace the original picture with the retake. Our photographers need the Original Picture Packages to produce the Retake Picture Package.

In recognition of the men and women who have served and are currently serving our country, Maple Grove Elementary will be creating a Veteran’s Wall of Honor. This display will celebrate and acknowledge the family members of our students who are United States military veterans or active-duty service members.
Tomorrow, your child will bring home a American flag sheet of paper along with an information form to fill out for the Veteran you choose to recognize. If your family would like to participate, please fill out the form with the details asked about the Veteran you wish to honor and attach one photo of the service member in uniform. The photo may be an original or a copy—whichever you prefer.
If you do not have a printer, please email the photo to Megan Bishop our Library Media Specialist at mbishop@warrensburgr6.org and she will print it in color for you for your submission, but please make sure to return the other papers in order to add the photograph.
All materials will be included in our school’s Veterans Wall of Honor display.
